Overview

Role Overview: We are seeking a Team Leader to join our exceptional team based in Birmingham. We need someone with the passion and determination to go the extra mile to create a home that everyone truly deserves. This includes creating a space brimming with activity, new experiences, and, most importantly, fun and laughter.

You will be fully supported in your new role with a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing development. This role is both rewarding and challenging, requiring strong commitment to our values and the ability to handle difficult situations with resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and adhere to the workplace values of Dignus Group (Resilience, Courage, Integrity, Respect, Confidence and Innovation)
  • Provide supervisory control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for planning shifts and ensuring the smooth running of the service
  • Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate and encourage good communication and staff development
  • Assist with recruitment and retention of staff including induction training for all new team members
  • Supervision of new starters during their probationary period to ensure they receive the best in class support
  • Undertake supervisions, addressing performance issues and identifying training and development needs
  • Promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each Person we Support
  • Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the People we Support
  • Manage behaviour positively and assertively by working in line with specified care and risk assessment management plans
  • A desire to learn, we provide training and apprenticeships for you to achieve your full potential
  • Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level
  • A good standard of written and verbal English
  • Proven experience of supporting adults or young people
