We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, with a focus on dignity and respect.
Duties include:
- Helping clients with every aspect of their daily lives, from personal care to shopping, managing bills, attending medical appointments, exploring the local community, and much more.
- Developing deep connections with customers, becoming a reliable, kind-hearted, and compassionate Support Worker who actively contributes to their growth and daily well-being.
Qualifications:
- An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care would be advantageous, but applications from individuals new to the Care industry are welcome.
- Training will be provided for all new applicants, with ongoing learning opportunities for existing staff members.
- Previous experience in care or patient care is preferred, particularly in supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- A background in nursing or childcare may be beneficial, but is not essential.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their best quality of life.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and reporting.
