We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Job Description

As a Learning Disability Support Worker, your role is both diverse and incredibly fulfilling. You\’ll be there for our clients, helping them with every aspect of their daily lives, from personal care to shopping, managing bills, attending medical appointments, exploring the local community, and much more. No two shifts are alike, which means each day brings new opportunities to learn and make a difference. You\’ll develop deep connections with our customers, becoming a reliable, kind-hearted, and compassionate Support Worker who actively contributes to their growth and daily well-being.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance
  • Help with shopping and bill management
  • Attend medical appointments
  • Explore local community activities
  • Build strong connections with clients

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care advantageous; training provided for new applicants
  • Previous experience in care or patient care preferred; new to industry welcome
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with clients and families
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively
  • Valid driver’s licence advantageous for transporting clients
  • Background in nursing or childcare beneficial but not essential
  • Compassionate nature with genuine desire to help others achieve best quality of life
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, for effective documentation and reporting
