At Dignity, we are transforming how we operate, strengthening performance, improving consistency, and ensuring we deliver the highest standards of care at every touchpoint. This is a pivotal role at the centre of that transformation. We are looking for a Senior Performance Manager to partner closely with the Managing Director of our Funeral Division, bringing clarity, insight and challenge to how the business performs, and helping drive better outcomes for both our colleagues and the families we serve.

The Role

This is not a traditional reporting role. You will act as the performance lens for the Division, connecting financial results, operational activity and commercial drivers to ensure leaders have a clear, fact-based view of performance, and the confidence to act on it. Working across Operations, Finance, Pricing and regional leadership, you will:

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Bring discipline and structure to how performance is tracked and managed.
  • Provide challenge and support to ensure priorities are focused and outcomes delivered.
  • Enable faster, better decision-making at leadership level.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Owning the end-to-end performance narrative across the Funeral Division, covering volume, pricing, cost and key operational drivers.
  • Leading deep-dive analysis into performance trends, identifying root causes and quantifying impact.
  • Shaping and driving Monthly Business Reviews, ensuring conversations are focused on decisions, not reporting.
  • Partnering with regional leaders to challenge and strengthen performance plans and track delivery.
  • Supporting prioritisation of key performance levers, including pricing, labour productivity and service mix.
  • Building and improving performance tools, dashboards and reporting cadence to ensure a consistent and aligned view across the business.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines analytical strength with commercial judgement, and who can operate confidently at a senior level. You will bring:

  • Strong experience in performance management, commercial analysis or operational insight within a multi-site business.
  • Proven ability to turn data into clear narratives, decisions and actions.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving accountability without direct authority.
  • Advanced analytical capability with strong financial and operational awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity.
  • A proactive, resilient mindset and the confidence to challenge where needed.

What we offer:

  • Competitive Salary depending on experience.
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
  • Up to 10% Yearly Company Bonus Scheme.
  • BUPA Private Healthcare (Self).
  • Life Assurance X2 Salary.
  • Pension Scheme.
  • Free On-Site Parking.
  • Access to our full range of employee development schemes.

Why Join Dignity Funerals

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping how a national organisation performs. At Dignity:

  • What you do has a real impact on how we support families at the most important moments.
  • You’ll work directly with senior leaders to influence business-critical decisions.
  • You’ll help drive meaningful, lasting improvements across a complex, multi-site operation.
