This is a role where commercial leadership and genuine human purpose meet. As Head of Region for London, you will lead one of our most significant regional operations: owning the P&L, driving growth, and ensuring that every family we serve receives outstanding care at one of the most difficult times of their lives. You will inherit a talented team of Business Managers and Cluster Managers, a strong network of funeral branches and service centres across London, and a genuine mandate to grow both commercially and as an employer of choice in your communities.
The Role
Reporting directly to the MD of Funeral Operations, you will take full strategic and operational ownership of the London region. This means:
- Owning the regional P&L and driving growth in funeral volume, funeral plans, and memorial sales
- Leading and developing a team of Business Leaders and Cluster Managers to excel in their own roles
- Overseeing multiple branches and service centres, maintaining the highest standards of care for the deceased and their families
- Using data and market intelligence to make smart commercial decisions and stay ahead of local competition
- Working closely with Finance, Marketing, Property, HR, and Health & Safety to keep the region performing at its best
- Championing Dignity's values and holding the bar high for everyone around you
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a proven multi-site leader, someone who is as comfortable with a P&L as they are with a conversation on the shop floor. Specifically, you will have:
- Demonstrable experience in a senior leadership role across a complex, multi-site operation
- Strong commercial acumen: You understand how performance data translates into business decisions
- A track record of developing leaders and building high-performing teams
- The ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels
- Resilience, adaptability, and real presence as a leader
- A genuine respect for the communities you serve. This sector demands empathy as much as it demands performance
Why Dignity
Dignity is one of the UK's leading funeral service providers, with a network of over 600 locations and a reputation built on trust, compassion, and professionalism. We are in the middle of a significant transformation, investing in our people, our infrastructure, and how we serve families across the country. For the right leader, this is a rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of a major regional operation, shape its growth, and make a real difference both commercially and in the lives of the communities we serve.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of up to £100,000 per annum, plus a £6,000 car allowance and a 10% bonus scheme
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- BUPA Private Healthcare (family cover)
- Life Assurance at 4x salary
- Access to our internal development schemes
