We’re looking for a Workplace Technology & Infrastructure Manager to lead the evolution of our digital workplace and infrastructure environment across the UK. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll drive modernisation, improve end‑user experience, and ensure our workplace technology and infrastructure services are secure, reliable, and future‑ready. You’ll balance strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership, guiding teams through change while delivering tangible improvements across a complex, multi‑site organisation.

Why This Role Matters

Our colleagues work across funeral homes, crematoria, contact centres, and corporate offices nationwide. The technology they rely on – devices, collaboration tools, networks, telephony, and infrastructure – must simply work. Your leadership will directly influence how effectively our people collaborate, communicate, and deliver services to families. By maximising the value of Microsoft 365, driving automation and AI adoption, and modernising infrastructure, you’ll help create a digital workplace that truly supports our purpose.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery of Workplace Technology and Infrastructure services, including:
  • End‑user computing
  • Telephony, Unified Communications and Contact Centre technology
  • Meeting room and Teams Rooms technology
  • Core infrastructure and networking services
  • Develop and execute the digital workplace and infrastructure strategy, aligned with organisational goals.
  • Drive adoption and optimisation of Microsoft 365, ensuring colleagues get maximum value from collaboration and productivity tools.
  • Champion automation and innovation, including the use of Power Platform and AI‑driven solutions.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to multi‑disciplinary teams, fostering engagement, inclusion, and high performance.
  • Own change management and user adoption for new technologies, ensuring colleagues are supported through transformation.
  • Manage third‑party suppliers, contracts, and budgets, ensuring strong performance and value for money.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.
  • Own disaster recovery and business continuity planning for workplace technology and infrastructure services.
  • What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience leading digital workplace, end‑user computing, or infrastructure teams in a multi‑site, UK‑wide organisation.
    • A strong track record of delivering workplace technology and infrastructure modernisation programmes.
    • Strong understanding of PC & Apple hardware & operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS, printers, and peripheral devices).
    • Deep experience with Microsoft 365, including collaboration, identity, security, and endpoint management.
    • Technical confidence across modern and legacy environments, including cloud, networking, devices, and unified communications (including VoIP systems and cloud UC / Contact Centres services).
    • Familiarity with mobile and tablet management (Intune, Omnissa Workspace One Mobile Device Management).
    • Relevant certifications highly desirable (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, Microsoft 365 and Azure certifications such as MS‑900, AZ‑900, ITIL).
    • Experience leading teams, developing capability, and building a customer‑focused culture.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively from frontline colleagues through to senior leadership.
    • A structured, proactive approach to problem‑solving, planning, and delivery.

    What We Provide to You

    • Competitive salary of up to £80,000 per annum.
    • Company bonus scheme.
    • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
    • BUPA private healthcare.
    • Pension scheme with 4% employer match.
    • Life assurance (2× annual salary).
    • Access to internal apprenticeship, learning, and personal development programmes.
