Overview
We’re looking for compassionate individuals to join our team on a casual basis, supporting families during funeral services and behind the scenes. This flexible opportunity is ideal for those who want to make a difference in their community while working around other commitments.
Responsibilities
- Assisting at funeral services – bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners.
- Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines.
- Representing Dignity Funerals with professionalism and empathy.
- Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day of the service.
- Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct, and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Understands the importance of presentation and discretion.
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility with working hours, including short‑notice availability.
- Comfortable with tasks that involve direct contact with the deceased.
- No previous experience in funeral care is required – full training and uniform will be provided.
