We're looking for an experienced

Logistics Operations Lead to oversee our nationwide distribution operation, manage our vehicle fleet, and drive continuous improvement across our logistics function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive logistics professional who thrives on planning, compliance, operational excellence and leading from the front.

What You'll Be Doing

As Logistics Operations Lead, you'll be responsible for ensuring our products are delivered safely, on time and in full while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

  • Leading the day‑to‑day management of our nationwide logistics and distribution operation.
  • Planning and optimising delivery schedules and routes to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Managing fleet compliance, including vehicle servicing, MOTs, inspections and repairs.
  • Monitoring driver compliance, CPC requirements and tachograph records.
  • Responding quickly to vehicle issues and breakdowns to minimise operational disruption.
  • Building strong relationships with funeral branches, drivers, external carriers and our Fleet team.
  • Producing delivery documentation, operational reports and performance data.
  • Managing stock movements, returns and supporting inventory accuracy through stocktakes.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of logistics and warehouse management systems.
  • Supporting vehicle procurement and helping shape the future of our fleet operations.

What We're Looking For

You'll be an organised, solutions‑focused logistics professional with experience managing complex transport operations.

  • Experience in logistics, transport or distribution management.
  • Knowledge of fleet compliance, transport legislation and driver regulations.
  • Experience with CPC requirements and tachograph management (Essential).
  • Strong route planning and operational scheduling skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience reporting on operational KPIs.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and customer service.
  • Experience using logistics, transport or warehouse management systems.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
