Build digital products that matter, when it matters most. At Dignity, our technology supports colleagues who help families through some of life's most difficult moments. We're looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of our core web-based funeral operations platforms, Care & Arranger, and lead their continued modernisation. This is a hands-on product leadership role where you'll shape roadmaps, work closely with frontline teams, and turn real operational challenges into practical, user-centred digital solutions.
The opportunity
As Lead Product Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end development and evolution of internal systems used daily by funeral directors and support teams across our estate. Your focus will be on improving efficiency, reliability and usability, ensuring our people have the tools they need to deliver exceptional service. You'll work closely with Operations, Technology and Product colleagues to translate strategic goals into lean, deliverable plans, always keeping the user at the heart of decision-making.
What you'll be doing
- Owning the product roadmap for Care & Arranger, prioritising improvements that reduce manual work and enhance service quality.
- Leading the modernisation of internal operational tools, including scheduling, case management and communication capabilities.
- Acting as the voice of the user, engaging directly with frontline colleagues to understand pain points and opportunities.
- Facilitating discovery sessions, workshops and retrospectives to align stakeholders and drive clarity.
- Driving delivery of product improvements that extend capability, improve resilience and support future scalability.
- Ensuring new features are easy to use, well-documented and supported by effective training and change management.
- Building and leading a pragmatic, high-performing team of business analysts and delivery partners.
- Working with third-party vendors and digital partners where required.
What we're looking for
This role would suit someone who:
- Has proven experience in product management, ideally owning internal or operational systems rather than purely customer-facing products.
- Is comfortable balancing user needs, business outcomes and technical constraints.
- Has worked in regulated or high-stakes environments (such as financial services, health, legal or similar).
- Brings a collaborative, delivery-focused mindset and enjoys working across engineering, operations and business teams.
- Is confident prioritising, making trade-offs and driving momentum in complex environments.
- Has experience working with agile delivery approaches, user research and product analytics.
Why join us
- Competitive annual salary.
- Other benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 10% annual company bonus, 2x life assurance, pension scheme, private healthcare, and hybrid flexible working.
- The chance to own and shape mission-critical products used every day across our organisation.
- A role with real visibility and influence, close to both frontline users and senior leaders.
- A supportive, values-driven culture focused on pragmatic delivery and continuous improvement.
- Hybrid working, with time in the office to collaborate where it adds most value.
