We’re looking for a detail‑driven and proactive Data Protection Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in protecting the personal data of our colleagues, clients, and partners. Sitting at the heart of our privacy operations, you’ll manage individual rights requests, support data breach assessments, maintain compliance records, and help drive our privacy governance framework. Working closely with the Data Protection Officer and wider business, you’ll ensure we meet our regulatory obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. This role is perfect for someone passionate about privacy, highly organised, and motivated by making a meaningful impact in a purpose‑led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process individual rights requests (DSARs, erasure, rectification, etc.) within regulatory timeframes.
  • Conduct initial assessments of potential data breaches, escalating and advising appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation, including records of processing and Article 30 registers.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer in delivering privacy governance activity across the business.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to advise on data protection considerations in new projects, including privacy impact assessments.
  • Oversee vendor data protection due diligence and contract reviews.
  • Contribute to the development and continual enhancement of privacy policies, templates, and procedures.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and conduct horizon scanning to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support and help develop data protection training materials and awareness activities.
  • Act as a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for privacy‑related queries.
  • Produce regular reports on case volumes, trends, risks, and emerging issues.
  • Champion a culture of strong data protection and effective information handling across the business.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • No formal qualifications required—what matters most is your interest and capability in data protection.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Confident using Adobe tools for redaction and document handling.
  • Experience using case‑management platforms (Freshservice desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise independently and work to strict deadlines.
  • Professional and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
