We're looking for compassionate individuals to join our team on a casual basis, supporting families during funeral services and behind the scenes. This flexible opportunity is ideal for those who want to make a difference in their community while working around other commitments.
The Role
- You'll be part of a team that ensures every service is delivered with dignity and respect.
- This position is well-suited to individuals who are looking to work occasionally and contribute in a meaningful way, especially during peak periods or when extra ceremonial support is required.
- Assisting at funeral services, bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners.
- Representing Dignity Funerals with professionalism and empathy.
- Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day of the service.
- Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct, and service delivery.
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
- Is physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Is reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours, including short-notice availability.
- No previous experience in funeral care is required; full training and uniform will be provided.
