Position: Casual Groundsperson Location: Holytown Crematorium, Motherwell Job Type: Casual Salary: £12.60 per hour We\'re looking for a reliable and hard-working individual to join our team as a Casual Grounds Person at Holytown Crematorium. In this role, you\'ll help maintain our beautifully kept grounds, ensuring they remain a place of comfort and reflection for families. The role As a Grounds Person, you\'ll carry out a variety of grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, planting, pruning, and general upkeep. You\'ll also support with seasonal duties like snow clearing or leaf removal, and at times assist with memorial enquiries from families visiting the grounds. Key Responsibilities Maintain lawns, flower beds, and landscaped areas to a high standard Carry out routine tasks such as mowing, trimming, and planting Assist with pest control and weed management Support with seasonal work (e.g. winter preparation, snow clearance) Interact respectfully with visitors, supporting memorial-related queries Work flexibly across local sites if needed based on business requirements About you We\'re looking for someone who: Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons Has a demonstrable understanding of groundskeeping practices, including planting, pruning, landscaping, mowing, trimming, and routine maintenance.
