Job Purpose
The Graduate Cyber Security Consultant will support customer delivery while developing practical experience across cyber governance, risk, assurance, advisoryand operational resilience.
Under the guidance of experienced consultants, the role will focus on research, evidence gathering, analysis, documentation, reportpreparationand workshop support.
The role will primarily support customers in Northern Ireland, while contributing to wider consultancy engagements across Ireland and the UK whenrequired.
Previousconsultancy experience is notrequired.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customerengagementsthrough research, evidence gathering, analysisandaccuratedocumentation.
- Assistwithevidencerequests, control mapping, interview notes, actiontrackingand engagement administration.
- Research cyber security frameworks, standards, regulatory requirements, threatsandrecognisedgood practice.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, risk registers, findings, recommendationsand other customer deliverables.
- Support workshops, interviews, assessments, cyberexercisesand follow-up activities.
- Learn and apply Viatelmethodologies, templates, toolsand quality standards.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, servicedevelopmentand pre-sales research.
- Complete an agreed training and professional development plan.
- Required Skills and Experience
- A recent degree or equivalent qualification in cyber security, computing, IT, engineering, risk, audit, businessorrelateddiscipline.
- Foundational understanding of cyber threats, risks, controlsand information security principles.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability toorganiseinformation and draw clear conclusions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produceaccuratedocuments and presentations.
- Strongorganisationalskills, attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Word, Exceland Power Point.
- A genuine interest in developing a customer-facing career in cyber security consultancy.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Placement, internship, university project, service desk, SOC, audit, complianceor other relevant experience.
- Awareness of frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls and the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework.
- Awareness of the UK NIS Regulations, Cyber Essentials, GDPR or wider cyber security regulatory requirements.
- Awareness of NIS2, DORA, Irish NCSC guidance or the Cyber Fundamentals Framework, or Cy Fun, would beadvantageouswhen supporting colleagues and customers inthe Republic of Ireland.
- University projects, labs, capture-the-flag activity, volunteeringor other demonstrable interest in cyber security.
- Basic knowledge of cloud services, networking, operating systems, identity and access management, scripting, dataanalysisor security tooling.

- ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
- Comp TIA Security+ or Network+
- ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation or equivalent
- Microsoft, AWSor other relevant cloud fundamentals certification
