An opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager has become available to lead a utilities framework in Wales. Reporting the to the board with your own commercial team of 10+ and you will be commercially responsible for a utilities infrastructure framework agreement which is valued currently at £60M and is set to grow significantly over the nest five years. The business has a strong and well-established relationship with its end user, one that has been built on trust and delivery during its previous framework period. It is a relationship that requires protection and subtle cultivation, so, although you will be highly motivated and goal orientated, you will be decidedly diplomatic and practised at gaining win/win business result outcomes. The Role The Senior Commercial Manager will manage the performance and development of the wider senior commercial team through coaching, mentoring and building required skill sets to ensure that senior staff are adequately equipped to perform. You will be a subject matter expert in all things commercial, with a particular emphasis on NEC and ICE forms, and you will be well-versed in Joint Venture commercial management and client alliance working. Experienced Required To be considered, you will: be a senior commercial manager within a tier 1 contracting environment have vast experience within civil engineering, preferably within the utility sectors have commercial acumen and analytical skills for managing inputs and outputs of a commercial assignment of £50M + be able to foster great client relationships be a true leader, able to develop and obtain the finest results from your senior and wider team have gained relevant tertiary commercial qualifications or a related construction technical discipline Have advanced subject matter knowledge across multiple commercial functions and expert people management skills This Senior Commercial Manager role is offered on a hybrid working basis with two days per week expected in the office.
