At DigiTickets, we provide ticketing and operational systems for many of the UK’s leading visitor attractions. We’re looking for a talented and driven Front-End Team Leader to lead the development and evolution of our front‑end architecture across web, mobile, and POS interfaces. This is a senior technical and leadership role, focused on driving delivery, improving front‑end performance and user experience, and ensuring design consistency and technical excellence across the product suite. You’ll guide a small team of front‑end developers and collaborate closely with UX/UI, Product, and Engineering stakeholders to deliver high‑quality user‑facing features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead and mentor a team of front‑end developers, promoting best practices, clean code, and design consistency.
    • Plan and manage delivery cycles in coordination with Product, UX, and QA teams.
    • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance culture within the team.
    • Support the professional development and progression of front‑end engineers.
  • Technical Ownership
    • Own and evolve the front‑end architecture for DigiTickets’ core platforms (web, mobile, and POS).
    • Drive improvements in front‑end performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
    • Establish and maintain scalable design systems and reusable component libraries.
    • Champion modern front‑end technologies, frameworks, and tooling.
  • Collaboration & Delivery
    • Translate product and UX requirements into robust, user‑friendly technical solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with the UX/UI and Product teams to ensure a cohesive user experience across platforms.
    • Work with back‑end teams to align API integration and interface logic.
    • Provide input into feature planning, release management, and product roadmap discussions.
  • Code Quality & Standards
    • Ensure adherence to coding standards, testing frameworks, and documentation practices.
    • Implement and maintain automated front‑end testing pipelines (unit, integration, E2E).
    • Conduct regular code reviews and performance audits.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Communicate technical progress, risks, and blockers to internal stakeholders.
    • Work with Support, Sales, and Client Services to assist with technical queries and demos when required.
    • Provide visibility into front‑end priorities and status across departments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience in front‑end development, with 1+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Angular), with a strong preference for Vue.js.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design best practices.
  • Experience working with design systems and scalable UI architecture.
  • Solid understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility (WCAG), and cross‑browser compatibility.
  • Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working with SaaS products, ticketing, or eCommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with backend integration using GraphQL.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Vue, and similar tools.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Cypress, Vitest, or Jest.
  • Understanding of mobile/responsive UI development and/or hybrid app frameworks (e.g., Capacitor or Ionic).
