We are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Level 3 to complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for developing and delivering agreed learning activities under an appropriate system of supervision. In this HLTA role, you will take a leading role in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences. This includes planning and delivering structured learning activities, leading lessons where appropriate, delivering interventions to small groups and individual students, and providing targeted support that enables learners to access the curriculum and make strong progress. You will play a key part in modelling excellent practice, using specialist strategies and adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs.
You will support students in accessing the curriculum, engaging with their learning and achieving their full potential by employing relevant strategies and techniques developed as a result of significant experience, specialist knowledge, skill and expertise. You will deliver targeted interventions, contribute to assessment and progress monitoring, and work closely with teachers, the SEND team and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every learner. Working within our close-knit school community, you will build positive relationships with students and colleagues and contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment where every young person feels supported, challenged and able to succeed. About you:
- Have an understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and how a teaching assistant supports students in their learning.
- Be able to engage students and manage behaviour on a one-to-one, small group or whole-class basis.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, HLTA status, or an equivalent relevant qualification, with experience of working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Be committed to undertaking relevant qualifications and training to ensure ongoing professional development.
- Happily engage with students and build positive, professional relationships that support learning and development.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to demonstrate empathy and active listening.
- Practise good planning and organisational skills, specifically with regard to learning activities, interventions and support materials.
- Be confident in leading learning activities and adapting support to meet individual student needs.
- Have experience of working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support student progress.
- Be someone with a keen interest in working with young people and a commitment to inclusion and acceptance of all.

Digitech delivers a specialised curriculum for 14 to 19-year-olds, where we offer progression into the creative digital and high-tech sectors. We are located in Warmley, on the outskirts of Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Studio schools are small by design, and we only take 90 students into each year group. This allows us to meet the needs of students in a personalised way.
