Overview
Digitas is looking for a Global Planning Account Director to join the media team on a 12-month maternity cover, starting ASAP. This role will lead planning for Wella, a global beauty brand focused on building strong brand activity across markets. Wella is a digital-first client, with activity spanning paid social, programmatic and online video, alongside traditional channels such as TV in some markets. The account operates across EMEA, covering seven key markets, and requires someone comfortable coordinating activity across multiple teams and regions. This is a great opportunity for an experienced media planner who enjoys working at the centre of international campaigns, bringing together strategy, planning and cross-market coordination.
The Role
As Global Planning Account Director, you’ll lead planning projects across the Wella account while managing day-to-day client relationships and supporting the wider team. You’ll work closely with activation specialists and partner agencies to ensure media strategies translate into strong campaign execution across markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a key client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of service
- Leading cross-channel media planning across digital and offline touchpoints
- Interpreting and challenging client briefs to develop clear strategic responses
- Coordinating activity across multiple EMEA markets and agency partners
- Ensuring campaign deliverables, timelines and reporting are delivered to a high standard
- Using data and insights to shape recommendations and optimise performance
- Managing and developing junior team members
- Supporting the Business Director on wider account growth opportunities
The role will require travel at least once a quarter.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in media planning or client service within an agency environment
- Strong understanding of integrated media planning, particularly across digital channels
- Experience working across international or multi-market campaigns
- Confident presenter with experience working with senior client stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into insights
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
- Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple workstreams
