As a Senior Engagement Strategist, you will play a leading role in delivering our vision of digital-first work that is highly creative and driven by data. You will advocate for an audience-first approach in all you do. Most of your time will be spent working with existing and potential clients on project work but there will be time for new business pitches, workshop facilitation and contributing to agency culture.
You will lead engagement projects, supported by other members of our talented (data, brand, engagement, media) strategy team. You will work with clients to identify and realise growth opportunities, gather insights and use these to plan strategies on a range of platforms and channels including: email, web, social (paid and owned), DOLs and influencers, paid media (HCP and consumer).
Responsibilities- Develop engagement and PESO channel strategies which help healthcare brands achieve business objectives.
- Leverage a range of strategic frameworks and planning tools to break down customer, communication, and channel strategies into actionable engagement plans.
- Simplify and synthesise the complex into clear, actionable insights and strategic deliverables.
- Distil customer research and data into personas, journeys, adoption ladders, and other frameworks and tools.
- Unlock the insights that block desired outcomes at any stage of the journey and develop the strategic messaging recommendations to address these.
- Understand and plan for the distinct role of communications channels within a brand strategy, as well as how to connect those channels together around the needs of specific audiences.
- Leverage and appropriately apply in-depth knowledge of a range of quant and qual research techniques.
- Develop test-and-learn plans and pilots to run in-market, using messages and creative to build an evolving understanding of our customers' preferences based on analysis of behaviours.
- Use your understanding of data and tech platforms, data strategy, and measurement planning to inform engagement strategies.
- Define the holistic omnichannel measurement strategies and KPIs and performance analytics for client accounts.
- Be a champion for the use of AI to improve the quality and effectiveness of our engagement strategy work, and the wider work of the agency.
- Act as the strategic lead across key projects and accounts; on larger agency accounts work under the leadership of Strategy Directors.
- Guide and lead more junior strategists to contribute to key workstreams and deliverables.
- Proven experience in engagement strategy and skilled in unpacking complex business challenges, discerning insights, and shaping plans that drive business results.
- Experience developing PESO strategies with data-driven segments, personalised journeys, test-and-learn calendars, and marketing automation.
- Experience with data and measurement strategy including defining strategic and tactical KPIs, developing reporting calendars, and outlining tagging requirements to execute on measurement and reporting plans.
- Experience providing strategic input into analytical modelling exercises, partnering with statisticians for delivery, and drawing insights from the results.
- Familiarity with marketing tech stacks and the role of MDM, CDP, preference management, DAM, CMS, CRM, web analytics, automated reporting, etc. in shaping and delivering connected, personalised omnichannel strategies.
- Experience with modular content strategy and experience planning.
- Experienced in insight analysis across a wide range of inputs.
- Proven experience in workshop facilitation and co-creation sessions to develop both strategic deliverables and creative ideas.
- Healthcare/pharma experience is desirable.
