About the Job:
Boyatt Wood Surgery is a well-established practice in Eastleigh Hampshire, with an excellent reputation for patient care, offering a full range of NHS and enhanced services. We have a total of 8 GPs, 8ANPs, 3 nurses and 4 HCAs all of whom form a friendly, dedicated, and supportive team. The total list size of our practices is 23,000 (and rising) patients, with mixed demographic. There is excellent support from a multi-disciplinary team of GPs, ANPs and Practice Nurses. The computer system is EMIS web.

Main duties of the job
To work as part of our clinical team supporting our nurses and GP’s providing high standards of care to our patients
- venepuncture
- Stitch and staple removal
- Administration of vaccines and Injections working under a PSD
- ECG
- Simple dressings
- NHS Health Check
- Assist in Annual Reviews (Hypertension or Diabetic Reviews)

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing Personal Medical Services to the patients of the Practice.
Job Responsibilities: Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by Nurses and GPs
Wound Care
Removal of Sutures and clips
NHS Health Check
Assist in Annual reviews
Urinalysis
ECGs
Venepuncture
Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to GPs as appropriate
Administer Injections like B12, Pneumonia, Shingles, Flu & Covid vaccine.
Other tasks will include
Check GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
Checking emergency equipment and fridge temp
Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records
A duty to advise senior staff of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks
Attend any training as required and participate in Nurse Meetings, clinical meetings Practice Meeting..
