Overview
Weber Shandwick is seeking a smart, curious, and entrepreneurial Digital Strategist to join our Brussels office.
The role focuses on partnering with account team leaders and staff to generate and increase revenues from digital products and services through up-sell and cross-sell across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead digital new business initiatives and pitches in collaboration with senior management.
- Play an active role in the wider EMEA digital team.
- Develop a future-facing vision with the management team to grow digital and social media adoption across Weber Shandwick and its clients.
- Ensure the office is informed of new products and services through training, knowledge-sharing, and sales tools.
- Drive digital creativity and ideation for accounts, proposing integrated programs of communications including multimedia/visual storytelling.
- Lead all digital business development, digital strategy, and associated sales processes.
- Support commercial growth and expansion of WS Studio offerings in the Benelux.
- Support learning and development of account teams to enhance digital skills and expertise.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Public Affairs practices to develop digital strategies that mobilise stakeholders, engage employees, and protect client reputations.
- Partner with the creative team on winning integrated concepts.
- Develop digital offerings across the Brussels office client-base to be industry-leading.
- Work across Weber Shandwick’s client portfolio on integrated briefs and lead the digital element.
- Establish and maintain relationships with major social platforms and digital suppliers to deliver best-in-class services.
- Attend industry events to stay current with best practices and to generate leads and opportunities.
- Deliver a range of digital products and services including social listening, influencer mapping, digital audits, digital/social strategy, training, SEO/SEM, web/mobile/build, app build, social newsroom, content production, paid media, crisis management, and more.
Qualifications
- Leading digital practitioner with ability to advise and sell services to clients across communications and social disciplines.
- Proven track record of developing valuable content propositions and strong client relationships.
- Comfort with driving new business and sustaining year-over-year growth in digital/social spend.
- Passion for creativity, pace, and growth; creative digital problem-solver.
- Willingness to contribute to day-to-day work and to run programs end-to-end (digital strategy, website concepting/maintenance, analytics).
- Experience in developing and executing social media content, calendars, campaigns, and paid social.
- Engagement guidance for community managers and governance of social playbooks; ability to coordinate with local markets.
- Strong collaboration across teams to deliver integrated campaigns and digital initiatives.
