We are a dynamic and growing organisation seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Engineer to join our Liverpool team. Our mission is to deliver high-quality cabling infrastructure that supports critical IT and communications systems across commercial and industrial sites.
Role Overview
As a Structured Cabling Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing structured cabling systems, including fibre and copper networks. You will work closely with project managers, IT teams, and clients to ensure high-quality installations are delivered on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic cabling.
- Test and certify network cabling using industry-standard tools.
- Work with patch panels, racks, and network equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and connectivity issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and client requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Engineer or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with copper and fibre optic cabling.
- Proficiency with testing tools and certification equipment.
- Knowledge of network standards and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
