A fast-growing B2B2C marketplace startup transforming how major UK corporate offices and universities run their on-site food operations is hiring a Social Media & Content Marketing Lead who can tell the brand story on and off camera. This is a first marketing hire with a blank page, direct line to the founders and real ownership across two pillars.

First, build the brand on social: own the story on TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn, create behind-the-scenes content, and crucially get in front of the camera yourself. Second, drive on-site marketing: get students at places like King's College and LSE through the doors of the food market, get Lloyds employees downloading the app and ordering from the canteen, and turn each live site into a success story that unlocks the next one.

Location: London (near Oval tube), full-time onsite.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and own the brand's social presence across TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn, treating each like the different channel it is.
  • Create and star in short-form content: get on camera, tell the story, film and edit the day-to-day, and build real audience traction.
  • Shape the brand voice, positioning and visual direction from scratch as the first marketing hire.
  • Own the narrative that frames the business as a tech company inside a traditionally analogue industry.
  • Launch each new site with a go-live plan covering staff and student comms, on-site presence and first-week momentum.
  • Drive app downloads, footfall and repeat spend across live sites through a mix of online campaigns and in-person activity.
  • Run site-specific channels: client intranets, internal newsletters, building screens, on-site signage, campus and workplace social groups.
  • Adapt creative and marketing approach site by site (university, bank, coworking) while keeping brand consistency.
  • Partner with each site's facilities, comms, student union or HR teams to embed the brand into how the building runs.
  • Turn site wins into case studies that help close the next contract.
  • Measure everything cleanly against brand reach on one side and site revenue on the other.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience owning social media as a creator-first function, with real audience growth or engagement you can point to.
  • Genuine comfort being on camera: presenting, interviewing, filming, editing and shipping daily.
  • Strong understanding of how TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn each work and the ability to adapt tone and format for each.
  • Strong writer who can tell a story clearly, with no jargon or filler.
  • Comfortable being on the ground at live sites, talking to real users and fixing what's not working that week.
  • Startup pace: a self-starter who moves fast, measures outcomes and avoids vanity metrics.
  • Commercially aware, with instincts across both brand and funnel.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience at an early-stage startup, ideally in B2B tech, marketplace or SaaS.
  • Background telling a hard-to-explain story or repositioning a traditional business as a tech one.
  • Exposure to food, hospitality or procurement adjacent industries.

This role would suit a creator-marketer who wants a blank page, a camera in their hand, real ownership of brand from day one and the ability to see their work show up in both audience growth and real site revenue.
