A strategic communications and media agency is hiring a Client Strategist to support a diverse portfolio of clients across integrated media, communications and brand campaigns. This is a hands-on contract role suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with deep media planning expertise and strong client leadership. You will work closely with senior leadership, client services and channel specialists to shape high-impact campaigns and long-term client strategy.
Role: Client Strategist
Day Rate: £400 per day
Contract: 6 months, Outside IR35
Location: Hybrid - at least one day per week in Birmingham office

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the development of integrated media and communications strategies across client accounts.
- Build full-funnel media plans aligned to brand and commercial objectives.
- Own channel mix planning across digital and offline media.
- Develop attribution frameworks and measurement approaches to assess campaign performance.
- Act as a senior strategic contact for clients, leading conversations and presentations.
- Work closely with internal channel and client service teams to shape campaign direction.
- Use audience insight, analytics and market research to inform strategic recommendations.
- Support new business pitches and strategic responses to client briefs.
- Identify opportunities for campaign growth, optimisation and innovation.
- Translate strategic direction into actionable campaign and media recommendations.
What you’ll need:
- Strong experience within a communications, media or integrated agency environment.
- Proven hands-on experience in media planning across digital and traditional channels.
- Strong understanding of full-funnel campaign mechanics, attribution and performance measurement.
- Experience developing channel mix strategies across brand and performance activity.

- Ability to simplify complex data and turn it into clear strategic insight.
