We are looking for a dedicated EPOS Engineer to join our team based in Stratford, London. This is an exciting 8-month contract opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in Retail IT and EPOS systems support. As an EPOS Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EPOS hardware and software, ensuring smooth retail operations for our client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain EPOS systems for retail environments.
  • Provide technical support for EPOS hardware and software issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise.
  • Ensure all EPOS equipment is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance of EPOS systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the retail team to ensure minimal disruption during system installation and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with the configuration and setup of new retail locations or system upgrades.
  • Report and escalate any major issues to the relevant teams to ensure swift resolution.
  • Work with the client's IT team to maintain seamless communication on technical matters related to Retail IT systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an EPOS Engineer or in a similar technical support role within retail.
  • Solid understanding of Retail IT systems, particularly EPOS hardware and software.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to various locations as required (mileage reimbursed at £0.20 per mile).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, with overtime pay for any hours worked over 9 hours per day (£17 per hour).

Additional Information:

This role is based in Stratford, London, with occasional travel to retail locations. The contract is set for 8 months, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
