Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer – 1st & 2nd Fix Location: Manchester Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: £190 per day Start Date: 1st July Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Cabling Engineer with experience in 1st and 2nd fix installations. The successful candidate must hold a valid ECS card and IPAF licence, and be capable of delivering high-standard cabling work independently and safely. Key Responsibilities: Carry out 1st fix installation: containment, tray, basket, trunking, and cable routing Perform 2nd fix tasks: terminating Cat5e/Cat6 outlets, patch panels, and testing Operate MEWPs and access equipment safely (IPAF required) Read and work from site plans, schematics, and method statements Label, test, and document installed cabling accurately Maintain high standards of health & safety on site at all times Requirements: Proven experience with structured data cabling (1st & 2nd fix) Valid ECS card Valid IPAF licence Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, and/or Cat6a installations Ability to work independently and to deadlines Must have own tools, PPE, and testing equipment (preferred) What We Offer: £190 per day Immediate start available
