Overview

My client are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to join their Shropshire-based team. You’ll help keep our cloud platforms stable, secure, and fast-moving. This hybrid role offers two days in the office and three from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and resolve infrastructure helpdesk tickets
  • Build and maintain cloud environments with Terraform and Ansible
  • Troubleshoot Azure and AWS (VMs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, Backup Vaults)
  • Support software releases with the DevOps team
  • Automate deployments and improve processes
  • Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS)
  • Document fixes and share knowledge

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS
  • Strong Terraform and Ansible skills
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, Windows, and Active Directory
  • Ability to explain complex issues simply
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira) and support workflows
  • Awareness of cloud security best practices
  • Bonus: SQL Server, SMTP, IIS, CI/CD pipelines, and an interest in AI
