My client are looking for a Cloud Operations Team Leader to manage their cloud environment, ensuring performance, availability, and security. You’ll lead a team of engineers, drive automation, enforce governance best practices, and support development teams through strong CI/CD infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategy with execution.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee daily cloud operations—monitoring, incident response, optimisation
  • Lead and plan projects using Agile methods
  • Implement cloud governance, security, and compliance policies
  • Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, AI-first approach)
  • Support development teams with CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage cloud costs and performance using monitoring tools (FinOps)
  • Mentor and develop cloud engineers

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years’ hands-on AWS experience
  • Strong IaC and configuration management skills (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub)
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and cloud projects
  • Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have: SQL Server, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS/Nginx, Linux, IDS/IPS, PowerShell/Bash, RDS, serverless tech (AWS Lambda, ECS), and applied AI for IaC.
