A fast‑scaling, AI‑driven property group is hiring an M&A Manager to help build the UK’s first AI‑enabled roll‑up of independent property companies. Backed by leading investors and already acquiring businesses nationwide, this is a rare chance to join at an early stage and shape the entire acquisition engine. You’ll work directly with the founders, owning the full deal lifecycle from sourcing through to completion, and playing a key role in modernising a fragmented, under‑innovated sector through automation and AI.

Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 per annum

Location: Ideally West Midlands based with UK‑wide travel (hybrid working)

Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level

Employment type: Full‑time

Job function: Business Development & Consulting

What you’ll be doing:

  • Sourcing and qualifying acquisition targets through broker relationships, direct outreach and your own networks
  • Meeting owner–operators, building trust quickly, and positioning the group’s value proposition
  • Assessing businesses at pace, analysing financials, operational performance and strategic fit
  • Owning transactions end to end, including HOTs, negotiation, DD management and timeline control
  • Maintaining momentum across multiple simultaneous sub‑£5m acquisitions
  • Working closely with founders on pipeline strategy, deal structuring and commercial decision making
  • Helping develop AI‑assisted tools and processes to accelerate sourcing, analysis and execution

What you’ll need:

  • Background in M&A, corporate finance, private equity or Transaction Services (typically 2 to 6 years)
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify attractive deals early
  • Confident dealing directly with owner–founders and guiding them through the process
  • Ability to analyse financial and operational data quickly and form clear recommendations
  • Comfortable working at speed, managing multiple transactions, and travelling across the UK
  • A preference for autonomy, accountability, and an environment that moves fast

What’s on offer:

  • Hybrid working with time split between home, meetings on the road and Birmingham or London hubs
  • 50 per cent bonus and share options
  • Major progression opportunity as the group scales and the M&A function grows
  • Direct exposure to founders, investors, lawyers and integration teams
  • The chance to help build a market‑leading roll‑up using automation and AI

If you want to do high‑impact M&A without the bureaucracy, and be part of a fast‑moving, tech‑led acquisition strategy, this is a standout opportunity.
