We’re looking for a Support Engineer with strong SQL expertise to play a key role in diagnosing, resolving, and preventing issues across our database‑driven systems. You’ll work between our Projects and Support Teams, creating workflows and ensuring our applications and data platforms run reliably, efficiently, and in line with business needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, team interaction, and taking ownership of technical incidents from investigation through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary technical contact for SQL‑related incidents, service requests, and escalations.
- Investigate and resolve issues across SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and integrations.
- Creating and building SQL workflows.
- Optimise existing SQL code and database structures to improve performance and reliability.
- Support application teams by ensuring smooth database interactions and stable environments.
- Maintain and enhance database schemas, views, indexing strategies, and data flows.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across development, test, and production environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years in a SQL‑focused support, operations, or development role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience troubleshooting complex queries.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- Solid understanding of database design, normalisation, and performance tuning.
- Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks and implementing optimised solutions.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, or BI environments is beneficial.
- Comfortable working with version control tools such as Git.
