This is a true hunter role focused on generating opportunities, building relationships and winning new business across infrastructure, networking and technical support services. The business is specifically looking for someone with a background in IT infrastructure or technical services rather than SaaS or software sales.
What you’ll be doing:
- Generate new business opportunities across the IT infrastructure and networking market
- Build relationships with IT leaders, procurement teams and technical decision makers
- Attend trade shows, networking events and industry meetings
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
- Sell infrastructure, networking and technical support services across a broad client base
- Build and manage your own pipeline and commercial activity
- Work closely with leadership on growth strategy and market opportunities
- Support and guide a small internal commercial team
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in a hunter-style Business Development role
- Background in IT infrastructure, networking, telecoms, cabling or technical services sales
- Experience selling services rather than SaaS or software platforms
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable generating opportunities through both outbound activity and face-to-face engagement
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop opportunities
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
Location: Remote with travel (all travel expensed)
Office Requirement: Birmingham office once per month
