We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Gloucester. You\’ll be responsible for building and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure while working closely with our development teams to streamline deployment processes.
What You\’ll Be Doing:
Provisioning and managing servers on DigitalOcean
Ubuntu administration, including patching and updates
Enforcing security best practices across all environments
Managing SSL certificates / Let\’s Encrypt for secure communications
Setting up and maintaining logging and monitoring solutions
ModSecurity configuration and optimisation
MySQL/MariaDB configuration, encryption, and performance tuning
Setting up and managing Managed Databases
Nice to Have:
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
CI/CD integration experience (Forge, DeployHQ, or similar tools)

Ideally from a software engineering background, with a strong understanding of development workflows
Proven track record managing cloud-based infrastructure
Security-focused mindset with experience hardening applications
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and database issues
