The Role:

As a Tax Technology Assistant Manager, you’ll be instrumental in delivering AI and automation initiatives designed to improve efficiency, enhance service quality, and empower tax professionals to work smarter. You’ll work across a broad range of projects, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and helping to shape the future direction of technology within a large and evolving tax function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the delivery of AI and automation projects from concept through to implementation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop innovative technology-led solutions.
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into practical workflows and user-focused solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
  • Drive successful adoption of new technologies through communication, engagement, and training.
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Monitor outcomes and use data analytics to measure success and identify further opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Tax business to promote innovation and continuous improvement.

You may have:

  • Experience within Tax Technology, either in-house or in a client-facing environment.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance and advisory processes.
  • A keen interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Experience translating business requirements into user stories, workflows, process maps, or solution designs.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence using data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive approach with a focus on delivering tangible results.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A natural curiosity and desire to continually learn and improve.
