We're excited to be partnering with an up and coming digital marketing agency in Bristol as they look to hire their first SEO Specialist within the team. This is a unique opportunity to get into an agency that's early in their journey, but is backed and managed by some of the most experienced digital agency leaders in the industry.

The Role

Working with a portfolio of ambitious start-ups and scaling businesses, you'll take ownership of SEO strategy and delivery across a variety of client accounts. This is a hands‐on role where you'll be responsible for driving organic growth through technical SEO, content strategy, on‐page optimisation and performance analysis.

Whilst SEO will be your core specialism, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to wider digital marketing initiatives, collaborating with specialists across paid media, content and analytics to deliver integrated campaigns for clients. This role would suit someone with a strong foundation in SEO who enjoys managing multiple projects, working directly with clients and taking real ownership of performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing SEO strategies across a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Conducting technical audits and implementing recommendations.
  • Carrying out keyword research and search intent analysis.
  • Creating content strategies and briefs.
  • Monitoring performance through GA4 and Google Search Console.
  • Presenting insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Supporting wider digital marketing activity where required.

Skills and Experience

  • 2-4 years' hands‐on SEO experience, ideally gained within an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on‐page optimisation and content strategy.
  • Experience conducting technical SEO audits and implementing recommendations.
  • Confident using Google Search Console, GA4 and other SEO analysis tools to monitor and improve performance.
  • Ability to conduct keyword research, analyse search intent and develop effective content strategies.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Highly organised with strong project management and prioritisation skills.
  • Commercially minded, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes rather than vanity metrics.
  • Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Sistrix, Screaming Frog or similar would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to Looker Studio, WordPress, Shopify or Webflow would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of digital PR, link building, paid media or AI‐powered marketing tools would be a bonus.
  • A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for staying up to date with developments in SEO and digital marketing.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing agency where you'll have genuine ownership of client accounts from day one. Rather than being part of a large, layered team, you'll play a visible role in shaping client success and contributing to the agency's ongoing growth.

You'll gain exposure to a diverse range of industries and businesses, working closely with experienced digital marketers in a collaborative and supportive environment. The agency actively encourages learning and development and offers clear opportunities for progression as the business continues to scale.

Alongside a competitive salary of up to £40‐45k depending on your level of experience and track record, the role offers a hybrid working pattern of 3 days a week in the office, a modern Bristol office environment and the chance to work with ambitious brands that are investing in their digital growth. There is also an onsite gym and discounts on surrounding food, drink and club facilities.

If you're an SEO professional looking for a role where you can take ownership, broaden your digital marketing experience and play a key role in a growing agency, we'd love to hear from you. Get in touch with Stacey for the finer details.
