The Role
As the SEO Manager, you’ll take ownership of the organic search strategy across a large eCommerce website, helping to drive visibility, traffic and revenue through a combination of technical SEO, content strategy and on-page optimisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an established SEO Manager or an ambitious Senior SEO Executive looking to step into their first management role. You’ll have significant autonomy, direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the company’s SEO strategy, developing and implementing initiatives that drive organic visibility, traffic and revenue growth. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll identify opportunities to strengthen search performance and ensure SEO remains a key driver of commercial success.
A significant part of your role will involve conducting keyword research, competitor analysis and technical audits, using data and insights to shape strategy and prioritise activity. You’ll be responsible for optimising website content, metadata, internal linking and site architecture, whilst ensuring technical SEO best practices are consistently implemented across the website. You’ll work closely with the content team to deliver engaging, search-focused content that supports both user intent and business objectives.
Alongside this, you’ll continually review website performance, identifying opportunities to improve crawlability, indexation, user experience, site speed and mobile performance. Using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, you’ll monitor performance, measure success and provide regular reporting to the leadership team. You’ll also stay ahead of industry developments, algorithm updates and emerging trends, ensuring the business maintains a competitive advantage within an exceptionally fast-moving online marketplace.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical SEO expertise with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for driving growth. You’ll ideally have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in an SEO-focused role
- Experience developing and executing successful SEO strategies
- Strong knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Experience conducting technical SEO audits and implementing fixes
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and content optimisation
- Experience working with WordPress and WooCommerce
- Strong copywriting and content optimisation skills
- Previous experience within an eCommerce environment
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
