Where is search heading next? How will brands stay visible in a world increasingly shaped by AI-generated answers rather than traditional search results? With more than 25 years of digital marketing success, this established and highly respected business is evolving at the forefront of modern search, combining SEO, GEO, AEO, data, technology and AI-driven insight to help brands grow visibility, authority and conversions across both traditional and generative search platforms.
As platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity continue to reshape user behaviour, the agency is investing heavily in the future of search and looking for people who genuinely want to be part of that evolution. You’ll join a collaborative environment where ideas are encouraged, experimentation is welcomed and strategic thinking is valued. This is a business that understands the balance between human expertise, commercial thinking and emerging technology - and it’s looking for someone excited by what comes next.
The Role
We’re looking for a strategic SEO / GEO Manager who understands where search is heading. This role is ideal for someone with a strong SEO foundation who is excited by the rise of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), and wants to help clients become visible not only in search engines, but also in AI-generated answers. This is not a heavily hands-on technical SEO role. Instead, you’ll be responsible for analysing performance data, identifying opportunities, building strategic roadmaps and confidently advising clients on how to improve visibility, engagement and conversions.
You’ll work closely with specialists across data, content, media and technology to deliver innovative SEO, GEO and CRO strategies that drive measurable commercial impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing SEO, GEO and AEO strategies for a range of client accounts
- Helping brands improve visibility across AI-powered search experiences
- Analysing performance data and turning insights into actionable recommendations
- Supporting conversion rate optimisation (CRO) testing and experimentation
- Conducting keyword, intent and conversational search research
- Advising on technical SEO improvements including site structure, Core Web Vitals and schema
- Supporting SEO site migrations and optimisation roadmaps
- Presenting recommendations and performance updates to clients in a clear, engaging way
- Staying ahead of AI search trends and evolving search behaviours
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone commercially minded, naturally curious and excited about the future of search. You’ll likely have:
- 2+ years’ SEO experience, either agency-side or in-house
- Strong understanding of SEO strategy and organic search performance
- Exposure to GEO, AEO or AI search concepts and a genuine passion for this evolving space
- Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO platforms
- The ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic recommendations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience presenting ideas and influencing clients or internal teams
- Knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals including crawlability, site structure, canonicals and Core Web Vitals
- A collaborative and proactive mindset
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Bonus points for candidates with CRO or experimentation experience.
Benefits
Alongside a competitive salary and performance-related bonus, the business offers flexible remote first working, strong progression opportunities and the chance to specialise in one of the fastest-growing areas of digital marketing. You’ll receive ongoing training and mentorship from experienced specialists working at the cutting edge of SEO, GEO and AI search, while gaining exposure to a wide variety of clients and sectors. Additional benefits include enhanced holiday allowance, life insurance, gym membership contribution, annual eye tests, free parking when in the office and access to a supportive, collaborative team culture that genuinely values innovation and development.
Sound Good? If you’re excited by the future of search, curious about AI-driven discovery, and want to play a key role in shaping how brands appear across both traditional and generative search platforms, we’d love to hear from you. Click the Apply button to send Nick @ Digital Tonic your CV.
