Digital Tonic are delighted to be supporting a unique consumer-facing business that serves millions of customers every year in the search for a Digital Trading Manager. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a digital revenue stream generating more than £40m annually and play a key role in shaping the online customer experience.
Combining digital trading, customer journey optimisation and commercial website performance, you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth, improving conversion performance and enhancing the digital experience across a range of transactional products and services. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates, increase average transaction values and enhance the overall user experience, ensuring customers enjoy a seamless digital journey from first interaction through to purchase.
You'll also play a key role in improving the performance of a range of complementary digital services, helping to drive upsell and cross sell opportunities through a more personalised and effective customer experience. Working closely with Commercial, Marketing, IT and external partners, you'll help shape and deliver a roadmap of enhancements designed to improve online performance and support wider business growth objectives.
You'll inherit responsibility for an established online revenue stream worth in excess of £40m per year, using data, insight and experimentation to identify opportunities for optimisation, growth and innovation. This role sits at the intersection of digital trading, customer experience and commercial performance.
Whilst it isn't focused on the day to day delivery of paid media or CRM campaigns, you will be responsible for the performance of the agency managing PPC activity, ensuring campaigns deliver a strong return on investment and support wider revenue growth objectives. Dedicated specialists already support these areas, allowing you to focus on digital optimisation, website performance, customer behaviour and commercial growth.
You’ll also support and develop an eCommerce Executive, helping to build capability within the wider team and ensuring best practice is shared across the function.
Skills and Experience- Proven experience within digital trading, eCommerce or online revenue growth roles
- Strong understanding of Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), customer journeys and user experience
- Experience managing transactional or booking based websites
- Comfortable using analytics and customer insight to identify opportunities and measure performance
- Experience working with eCommerce platforms and tools such as GA4
- Experience managing external agencies and third party technology providers
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial mindset with a focus on balancing customer experience and revenue growth
- Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing team members would be advantageous
