Are you someone who loves spotting opportunities, challenging performance data and helping clients achieve more than they thought possible? This is an opportunity to join an established and highly respected digital performance agency that has spent more than 25 years helping ambitious brands grow through data, technology and digital marketing expertise. Working across a diverse portfolio of clients, the agency has built an outstanding reputation for delivering measurable results through SEO, AEO, CRO, paid media, analytics and website development. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, they are investing heavily in the future of search, customer experience and performance marketing, creating an exciting environment for ambitious digital professionals.

The Role

As Account Director, you'll become a trusted strategic partner to your clients, leading account growth, digital strategy and campaign performance across a varied portfolio of businesses. This is a senior client-facing role that combines strategic thinking, commercial awareness and hands-on account leadership. You'll work closely with clients to understand their goals, identify opportunities and ensure the agency is delivering exceptional value at every stage of the relationship. You'll be responsible for analysing performance data, uncovering insights, building strategic plans and helping clients navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape. You'll also play a key role in growing accounts through upselling and cross-selling services where genuine opportunities exist. Working alongside specialists across SEO, AEO, CRO, analytics, media and web development, you'll help shape campaigns that drive meaningful business outcomes while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading client strategy, planning and forecasting across short, medium and long-term objectives
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and becoming an extension of their marketing team
  • Identifying opportunities for account growth and additional service adoption
  • Analysing campaign performance, extracting actionable insights and presenting recommendations
  • Overseeing campaign planning, project delivery and service quality
  • Supporting commercial planning, forecasting and profitability management
  • Contributing to new business pitches and agency growth initiatives
  • Staying ahead of developments across digital marketing, technology, AI and search
  • Supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge across the wider agency

Skills and Experience

We're looking for an experienced digital marketing professional who enjoys both the strategic and commercial side of client services. You’ll likely have:

  • Previous experience in a senior account management or account director role within an agency environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, AEO, CRO, websites and performance marketing
  • Experience building and growing client relationships
  • A commercial mindset with a track record of identifying growth opportunities
  • Confidence analysing performance data and translating insights into strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
  • Experience working within a fast-paced agency environment

Alongside a competitive salary and bonus scheme, you'll benefit from enhanced holiday allowance, pension and salary sacrifice schemes, life insurance, annual eye tests and a monthly gym contribution. The agency also offers ongoing training and development opportunities, an employee assistance programme through AXA PPP, a referral scheme and free parking when in the office. We can also look at remote first options for this role, i.e. 1 day every 2 weeks or month in the office for those based further afield. Most importantly, you'll be joining a collaborative, ambitious and supportive team where your ideas are valued, your development is encouraged and your contribution has a genuine impact on both client success and agency growth. If you're passionate about digital marketing, enjoy building strong client relationships and want to play a key role in helping ambitious brands grow, we'd love to hear from you.
