Digital Tonic are delighted to be working with a well-established, family-owned premium interiors and lifestyle business as they look to appoint a Senior eCommerce Manager.
This is a really interesting opportunity to join a brand with a strong identity, loyal customer base and significant opportunity to further develop its online channel. The business is not looking for growth at all costs, they want someone who can improve commercial performance while protecting the quality, heritage and feel of the brand.
The Role
This is a hands-on eCommerce role with a strong focus on trading, CRO and customer journey. You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the website, using data and customer insight to identify opportunities across navigation, product discovery, merchandising, conversion and retention.
There is a large and varied product range, so you’ll need to be comfortable working across a complex catalogue and thinking carefully about how products are presented, discovered and merchandised online.
CRM will also form an important part of the role. The business uses Klaviyo and there is plenty of opportunity to further develop automated journeys, segmentation and lifecycle activity to increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.
You’ll also need a good understanding of paid acquisition and performance marketing. You won’t need to personally manage every campaign, but you should be confident assessing performance, working with specialists and understanding how acquisition fits into the wider commercial picture.
You’ll manage a small and high performing internal team and work closely with developers, external partners and senior stakeholders. The business is founder-led, so communication, judgement and the ability to bring people with you will be just as important as technical eCommerce knowledge.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in an eCommerce Management, Digital Trading or similar role
- Hands-on experience managing and optimising an eCommerce website
- Strong understanding of CRO and customer journey optimisation
- Experience across onsite trading and merchandising
- Shopify experience
- CRM and retention experience, ideally including Klaviyo
- Good understanding of paid acquisition and performance marketing
- Comfortable using data to identify opportunities and guide decision-making
- Previous team management or people leadership experience
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience within premium retail, homewares, interiors, furniture, lifestyle, fashion or another brand-led consumer business would be highly advantageous
Benefits
The role offers a salary of up to £60,000, alongside the opportunity to take real ownership of a growing eCommerce channel within an established premium brand.
The business offers hybrid working, with three days per week based in Marlborough. This is a role where you’ll have visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact while working closely with the senior team.
