Expanding practice based in Bedford currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant.
The candidate will ideally have at least 5 years experience in practice and be ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified.
This is a mixed role focusing on tax and accounts, for SME clients.
The role also has scope to progress within the practice to practice manager duties and assisting the director with overseeing the practice.
Role includes
- Preparation/review of statutory accounts to completion for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
- Managing portfolio of clients
- Overseeing junior/semi senior and monitoring progression
- Review of VAT returns
- Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns
- Preparation of self-assessment returns
- Tax advisory to companies (FRS105 and 102) and individuals
- Technical statutory knowledge FRS 102 essential
- Respond to and deal with client queries
- Potential to assist with overseeing practice
The ideal candidate will
- Have a minimum of 5 year’s practice experience
- Excellent verbal, written and punctuation skills
- Be a qualified accountant by official qualification, or qualified by experience
- Ideally, although not essential have experience using iris
- Ideally, have experience using Xero, and other bookkeeping packages
