Paid advertising is a form of digital marketing that directly impacts the bottom-line for clients. You’ll be working with budgets and running advertising as well as working on websites and data/analytics in addition to some e-mail marketing. Primary platforms you’ll get used to in your day-to-day will be Facebook (Meta) ads, Google ads, TikTok ads, Twitter/X ads and Google Analytics (GA4) just to name a few.

As a Performance Marketing Specialist, you should have a good commercial mindset – understanding how strategies can affect the bottom-line of a range of businesses.

Location

At Digital 24, we embrace a hybrid work model. Three days a week, our team collaborates in our conveniently located Belfast office, offering free parking and proximity to various shops and amenities. The remaining two days, we enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from home., * Building and maintaining strong relationships through liaising directly with your clients

  • Strategising, planning and managing digital ad campaigns on Google ads, Facebook ads & more

  • Identifying trends and insights, optimising spend and performance based on the insights

  • Working well towards set KPIs based on individual client needs

  • Preparing regular reports that provide insights on performance to strategise future campaigns

  • Forecasting performance, strategising and presenting recommendations for digital marketing success ahead of time

  • Supporting the Performance Marketing Director and Specialists on a range of advertising projects

  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of best practices for advertising

  • Generating proposals for prospective clients, inclusive of competitor and industry research

  • Strategising and implementing Email Marketing strategies using tools such as Mailchimp & Klaviyo {training can be provided}

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a digital marketing role. A minimum of 2+ years is required. Given that this is a more senior role, we love to see candidates with experience in Facebook ads and Google ads., You’re an intelligent self-starter who can prioritise work and manage your own deadlines under pressure.

You have managed paid advertising campaigns across Facebook ads and Google ads before. You work to keep your knowledge up-to-date in these areas, staying aware of any impending updates that may affect your work. You don’t wait for someone to upskill you, but you seek out new information and stay afloat of trends.

If you don’t already know how, you have enough technical skills to learn how to set up conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta ads Events Manager, and Google ads as well as through APIs such as Shopify, Wix and WordPress.

You have great communications skills, both internally and with clients. You will be required to keep your team and clients up to date regarding performance and progress on projects. At times, you may need to present proposed campaigns to prospective or existing clients.

You work well both on your own and as part of a team. The Digital 24 team are a self-directed bunch, who get to follow their nose when it comes to strategic direction in many cases. But, you won’t only be managing clients by yourself. Some of our larger clients have multiple specialists working together to drive the success of their online campaigns. Data is at the heart of how you work. We’re data-driven marketers and we like to see when individuals share this trait. All of your strategies and recommendations are backed by solid historic or industry data. You like to work towards industry benchmarks each month.

We all make mistakes. But, as you can imagine, little mistakes can mean a lot to clients when we’re dealing with their marketing spend. As such, you will need to be meticulous with your work. This includes good spelling and grammar skills!

You have a strategic mindset, built from a holistic understanding of marketing and the relationships between online campaigns., * GSCEs in English and Maths

  • BSc/BA in Marketing or relevant field

  • 3+ years experience in a Digital Marketing role is desired. 2+ years is required.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience marketing in the eCommerce space but this is not a requirement

  • The candidate will ideally have up-to-date marketing qualifications including Google Certificates (Learn Digital with Google)

  • Experience running digital advertising campaigns using platforms such as Facebook ads, Google ads (including Search, Video, Shopping and Display) and LinkedIn ads

  • Experience using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

  • Strong creative capabilities

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Strong technical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
