We’re looking for a UK Production Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our operations, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability at every step.
What You’ll Do
- Health & Safety: Champion high standards, lead risk assessments, and drive behavioural safety.
- Process Optimisation & Automation: Reduce cycle times, scrap, and breakdowns while integrating Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies.
- Quality Performance: Embed zero‑defect culture with poka‑yoke systems and automated quality assurance.
- Lean & Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, and TPM initiatives.
- New Product Introduction: Ensure flawless launches with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Design for Manufacture.
- Capex & Technology Investment: Deliver automation‑focused projects, smart factory solutions, and digital twins.
- Collaboration: Work across production, engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and R&D to align initiatives with business goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- A background spent within production engineering within high-volume, quality‑critical environments (Tier 1 Automotive/Aerospace preferred).
- Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and automation (robotics, vision systems, AI‑driven process control).
- Strong project management skills and proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
Desirable
- Experience with IATF 16949 & AS9100 standards.
- Knowledge of pressing, rolling, forming, welding, and CNC machining.
- Exposure to predictive analytics and data‑driven manufacturing.
