Operations Leadership Associate (Aspiring Plant Manager)

The Opportunity
Are you looking to shape the future of operations and build a career in manufacturing leadership? We are seeking an Operations Leadership Associate — an early-career professional with the ambition to grow into a future Plant Manager. In this role, you\’ll work closely with our leadership team, gain exposure to all aspects of operations, and develop the skills to take full responsibility for performance in the years ahead.
This is an excellent chance to learn, grow, and make an impact in a fast-paced engineering environment while being supported with training, mentoring, and real leadership responsibilities.
What You\’ll Do
- Support operational teams in achieving Safety, Quality, and Delivery targets.
- Learn how to manage KPIs, drive accountability, and build team performance.
- Gain exposure to compliance with global standards: IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO45001.
- Take part in developing a strong QHSE culture.
- Work with leaders to motivate, coach, and mentor teams.
- Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning with a focus on efficiency and cost control.
- Learn how to apply LEAN principles and lead Continuous Improvement projects.
- Support with budgeting and operational planning activities.
- Build strong relationships across our global business.
Who We\’re Looking For
- An early-career professional looking to grow into an operations leadership role, with a track record of managing a site / operation.
- Seeking the next level with exposure to manufacturing/engineering environments; may have been seconded to Plant Manager and want to own this.
- Interest in fabrication, welding, or multi-shift environments is a plus.
- A natural team player with the ambition to lead in the future.
- Analytical, curious, and eager to learn.
- Passionate about developing people, improving processes, and shaping the future of operations.
Desired Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- Interest in Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH or similar).
- Any prior exposure to LEAN tools or quality standards is advantageous.
