Location: UK or USA Remote

Description

Digital Science supports millions of users across research, academia, publishing, and government. We are hiring two Solution Enablement Specialists in the Academic Market.

Your new role

  • Dimensions & Altmetric – enabling institutions and publishers to discover, analyze, and communicate research impact.
  • Symplectic Elements & Figshare – helping institutions and funders manage research information, showcase outputs, and meet compliance with open access, impact, and reporting mandates.

Our Customer Success team ensures these solutions are successfully adopted and deliver measurable value. As a Solution Enablement Specialist, you will design and deliver impactful training experiences tailored to administrators, librarians, researchers, research managers, compliance officers, and communications professionals. You’ll collaborate with Engagement, Support, Product, and Solutions teams to build scalable resources, personally deliver training sessions where needed, and strengthen adoption and impact for our Academic customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and deliver engaging training experiences (virtual sessions, workshops, recorded modules) tailored to Academic audiences.
  • Personally deliver customer training sessions, ensuring high-quality, professional, and engaging experiences.
  • Develop reusable resources such as workflow guides, playbooks, analysis toolkits, walkthroughs, and compliance checklists.
  • Partner with Engagement and Delivery leads to identify adoption gaps, common challenges, and underused features.
  • Stay current on product developments and maintain deep expertise in your assigned solutions (either Dimensions & Altmetric or Elements & Figshare).
  • Contribute to a central content library (Skilljar and other platforms), ensuring materials are reusable, measurable, and globally accessible.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, Solutions, and Sales Enablement to align training with broader messaging and roadmap updates.
  • Use customer feedback, engagement analytics, and usage data to refine training programs.
  • Support webinars, community initiatives, and customer events to showcase best practices and amplify solution awareness.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • 3+ years’ experience in customer education, success, or training—ideally in SaaS, academic research, publishing, or government environments.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with experience addressing diverse audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex workflows, analytics, and compliance requirements into actionable learning.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills across distributed and cross‑functional teams.
  • Familiarity with the relevant platforms:
  • Dimensions & Altmetric role: research analytics and impact measurement platforms.
  • Elements & Figshare role: research information management systems, repositories, or compliance platforms.
  • Experience with training and content creation tools (Google Slides, Loom, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other content delivery platforms.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, or change management practices.
  • Understanding of bibliometrics, altmetrics, or research policy/compliance frameworks (e.g., REF, ERA, NIH/NSF mandates, open access policies) is a strong plus.
  • This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of research workflows, analytics, compliance, and teaching. If you are passionate about empowering institutions, funders, and publishers to manage and communicate research effectively—and want to enable adoption of Dimensions & Altmetric or Elements & Figshare globally—we’d love to hear from you.

Don’t worry if you don’t meet every qualification—let us be the judge! Studies show that many qualified candidates from under‑represented groups hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. We are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive team and strongly encourage you to submit your application.
