Global Platform Lead (DevOps) β Fully Remote β Cybersecurity Scale-Up
Β£100,000 base salary plus equity and benefits. Fully remote from the UK with a genuinely global remit across the US, UK and APAC.
I am partnering with an international (New York, Singapore) well-funded, analyst-recognised cyber security scale-up (nearly $30m raised) that helps large enterprises and critical infrastructure providers understand how they could be hacked in real time. Their platform blends threat intelligence, real attacker telemetry and automated red teaming to give security teams time to respond before attackers succeed.
This is the senior owner of platform and DevOps, building the backbone that powers global exposure management for Fortune 500 and critical infrastructure clients. You will:
- Lead and grow a high-performing Platform Engineering organisation across regions
- Own and evolve the global cloud and distributed scanning platform for scale, resilience and speed
- Drive DevOps and SRE maturity (deploy frequency, stability, time to recover) across services
- Shape multi-region cloud strategy, balancing performance, cost, risk and regulatory demands
- Partner with Product, Security and Engineering leadership to ship secure, reliable customer-facing capabilities faster
You are a seasoned platform and DevOps leader who enjoys both strategy and technical depth. Ideally you have:
- Excellent experience building and leading distributed engineering teams, including managing regional leads
- A track record of scaling high-throughput, distributed platforms in production, ideally in cyber or data-heavy products
- Experience in early-stage or high-growth B2B startups serving enterprise customers
- Strong background across cloud (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD and observability
- Solid understanding of networking and multi-region cloud operations, including cost, resilience and data residency
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders to make pragmatic, commercial platform decisions
Tech environment includes: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, Terraform, Airflow, EFK/Prometheus/Grafana, MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis/Elasticsearch/Kafka, GitHub Actions, plus services written in Python, Node.js and Go.
