Location: Woking, United Kingdom Your roleThe Site Engineer II (Shift Engineer) delivers technical customer service and operational support within a data center, acting as the first point of contact for technical issues. This role is responsible for executing repairs, supporting installation and migration activities, and maintaining inventory. The Site Engineer ensures compliance with health and safety protocols while collaborating with internal teams and external customers or suppliers. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality. The Site Engineer provides 24/7 technical support, promptly addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues to minimize downtime. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is crucial for successful customer implementations. What you'll doDrive adherence to company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values. Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. Manage maintenance and repair operations, including coordination with subcontractors. Responsible for writing and reviewing of operating procedures and assisting with the planning of critical maintenance / change requestsWhat you'll needExperience in 'Mission critical' operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or Electrical and Mechanical systems technical education / training certification in the field of 'Mission Critical' Operations. HVAC Electrical preferred A good level of computer literacy, specifically in Excel, Word, Outlook etc. Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or Electrical and Mechanical systems common to data centers, including but not limited to: High and Low Voltage Power Distribution (Switchgear, Transformers, UPS systems, Generators)Cooling Systems (Chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Piping)Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and control of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Preferably skilled in electrical switching and isolation procedures in a critical environment. Good communication skillsComfortable working in a shift pattern Experience in 'Mission critical' operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or Electrical and Mechanical systems technical education / training certification in the field of 'Mission Critical' Operations.
