The Manager Data Center (MDC) is responsible for managing and ensuring the performance of data center sites, focusing on service excellence, infrastructure, sustainability, and governance. The MDC oversees maintenance, repairs, upgrades, customer service activities, and monitors all site operations, providing coaching and instructions to the team.
What you’ll do
- Health & Safety Oversight: Ensure adherence to Quality Management, Environmental, and Health & Safety responsibilities. Manage all site activities in terms of safety and compliance, including inductions, permits, and guidelines (SOC and ISO). Maintain site assets in good condition.
- Operational Efficiency and Maintenance: Operate the site efficiently, coordinating with relevant functions. Monitor and manage site systems effectively. Ensure timely and high-quality execution of maintenance and customer service tasks, including corrective and preventive maintenance, remote services, and audits. Oversee alarm monitoring and asset management during office hours, with ICT support. Manage team productivity and resource capacity through planning and prioritization.
- People Management: Manage team members, including training and development. Maintain site cleanliness and organization within budget. Approve capacity requests and provide feasibility solutions and proposals. Review and accept installation works from implementation teams.
- Incident Management and Documentation: Manage incidents to prevent disruptions and ensure SLA compliance. Keep site documentation up to date. Develop and maintain a multi-year site plan with scheduled maintenance and asset assessments. Contribute to planning and budgeting processes.
What you’ll need
- Experience in mission-critical mechanical and electrical environments, ideally in IT/Telecom.
- Strong experience managing teams.
- Knowledge of technical facilities management and maintenance governance.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure and standards.
- Experience in data centers or similar environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
- ITIL or ServiceNow experience is a plus.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- High energy, adaptable, proactive, and good at prioritizing and delegating.
