The Sub-regional Finance Lead role is a sub-regional level role for the EMEA region reporting to the VP of EMEA Finance and dotted-line reporting to the sub-regional Managing Director. The role offers you the opportunity to expand your skills and experience in multiple areas, including data governance, analysis and supporting strategic and commercial decisions to drive country growth. The role is highly visible, and your success in this role may set you up to pursue multiple career paths within our organization across geographies.

You are naturally a strong leader who takes full ownership of your work, leveraging the team's strengths and focusing on impact through tangible results. You take initiative, structure and organize work in a dynamic and constructive manner. As a problem solver and fast learner, you can identify optimized solutions while proactively mitigating risks using new technology and processes to manage the finance function of the countries in your sub-region in a fast paced & changing environment. The ability to think strategically while also being equally comfortable delivering on operational goals is critical.

What you'll do:

  • Provide financial support for strategic and commercial decisions, challenging assumptions and making recommendations through value-add analysis and insights.
  • Deliver consistent, accurate and insightful communications on business performance to the sub-regional MD, EMEA SMT and Global Executive Team.
  • Challenge and support to the business where required, holding decisions to account.
  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts and annual 5-year plan for each property and country-level cost centre.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including actual vs. budget and actual vs. actual variance analysis, bookings trend, headcount tracking and new development activity.
  • Support and challenge the analysis and preparation of investment memos, including the preparation of returns analysis and cash flows.
  • Serve as a financial control in the country, monitoring expenditures to ensure expenses remain in budget or support the growth needs of country.
  • Act as final escalation point for customer queries on billing/pricing etc.
  • Manage pricing changes for power and control power recovery across all properties.
  • Support the distribution of communications to customers around pricing changes.
  • Responsible for the data governance processes in that country.
  • Experience of building and developing high performing teams.
  • Supporting implementation and roll-out of new finance systems or processes.
  • Support corporate initiatives e.g. SOX compliance, controls.
  • Collaborate with teams across all disciplines including (but not limited to) sales & marketing, operations, portfolio management and legal to problem solve and maximise business efficiency.
  • Support the VP of EMEA Finance as required.

What you'll need:

  • Extensive experience in a similar Finance role in a US listed entity, with solid experience in internal reporting requirements; experience in external reporting is a plus.
  • Experience with organizational transformation/integration is desired.
  • Experience of operating across various cultures and functions in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in coaching, developing team members and managing high performing teams.
  • Perceptive, self-starter, able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Must have the ability to prioritise & delegate, whilst also providing training & support.
