Your role
The Head of Security Projects Manager EMEA serves as the subject matter expert for implementing physical security standards and systems on projects within the region. They will analyze physical security standards and system requirements, aligning these with business and DC site operations needs. The Head of Security Projects Manager EMEA identifies opportunities for efficiency, improvement of security standards and systems, and the mitigating measures designed to support business objectives following the Global standards set by the Global Security function.
What you'll do
- Lead the EMEA Security Projects team and consultants in line with global design standards.
- Contribute to and align regional requirements with global standards.
- Work with design & construction, security, and information security stakeholders to ensure consistent, effective, and appropriate physical security standards and systems are implemented.
- Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for physical security systems and their operational application and impact at a regional level.
- Monitor the productivity of third-party consultants and ensure key performance objectives are met.
- Support third-party consultant design reviews, RFIs, and approvals during critical architectural design and construction milestones.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal IT, core technology, and departmental stakeholder groups.
- Maintain security system governance aligned with company, industry, legislative, and regulatory standards across regions.
- Assist in setting organizational goals, including internal project budget creation, tracking, and project oversight.
- Contribute to defining the future structure of a regional security projects team and mentor internal talent to support long-term delivery capacity.
Security Project related responsibilities
- Oversee the application of security standards for new data center projects and major system upgrades by directing third-party consultants and/or local teams.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Security and DTEG to include physical security standards within company design and engineering requirements.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate new installations and upgrades to existing security systems according to Global Security standards.
- Manage onboarding of third-party consultants, including scope creation, vendor review, recommendations, and training.
- Develop project scopes of work and collaborate with external vendors to ensure effective, timely, and within-budget implementation of physical security systems.
- Use effective project management techniques to prioritize and manage multiple complex technology deployments.
- Demonstrate experience working on highly complex, multi-phase infrastructure projects, ideally within data centers or mission-critical environments.

- Extensive technical security knowledge with adaptability aligned with risk management, to design appropriate security solutions.
- Understanding of emerging security system technologies and their potential applications within the business.
- Hard skills Extensive technical security knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and commissioning access control, intruder detection, video management systems, and other security management systems.
- Membership in professional bodies such as ASIS, The Security Institute, RSES, or CPNI-recognized bodies is advantageous.
- Experience managing security tenders and integrating multiple software platforms.
- Minimum 5 years in the data center industry and 10 years in project management.
