Your role

Sitting within the wider Global Design, Engineering & Construction function, the Global DE&C Connectivity Manager supports connectivity design of DLR’s campuses. This includes all Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) designs. They oversee, direct and approve OSP/ISP designs on assigned projects cross-regionally, working with the local Design Managers and 3rd party consultants. This individual participates in the full lifecycle of a project.

Operating strategically under their own initiative they control all aspects of connectivity design delivery inclusive of extensive relationship management within a large group of internal functions to key external Customer accounts.

The Design, Engineering & Construction Group’s driver is to deliver a quality service and product that complies with our internal EMEA standards as well as our Customer’s expectations in line with Digital Realty’s project goals. They also work closely with our professional teams applying Digital Realty’s systems, procedures and culture.

What you’ll need

1. Minimum of 5-8 years data center or telecommunication design experience
2. A thorough understanding of ICT elements of design plus CAD experience
3. Previous involvement in the delivery of multiple large developments
4. Familiarity of gating processes/change control within an Owner Operator development organisation
5. An awareness of both Consultant and Contractor appointment contractual obligations
6. Confidence explaining and defending design decisions to Customers and Contractors
