Job Description
Your Role
We are seeking a Director Security, EMEA to play a key role in safeguarding Digital Realty’s assets and maintaining operational continuity across our physical security operations within EMEA. This is a critical leadership role that will drive the implementation of strategic security initiatives, manage security operations, and oversee risk mitigation processes to ensure compliance and security excellence across the region.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership & Vision:
- Lead and inspire diverse teams, ensuring a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Identify and implement security risk mitigation strategies, ensuring a proactive approach to business continuity.
Physical Security Management:
- Oversee physical security performance across the region, ensuring KPIs are met, and corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party suppliers, law enforcement, and security authorities to address emerging threats.
- Collaborate with global teams to integrate physical security into company design and engineering.
Collaboration & Risk Mitigation:
- Act as the point of contact for external security services and regional physical security matters.
- Ensure effective incident data analysis and follow-up actions to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
What You’ll Need:
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive experience in physical security management, including responsibility for a multinational portfolio.
- Proven track record of managing and leading multi-cultural teams across different countries.
- Experience with security IT systems, such as access control, CCTV, and customer support portals.
- Familiarity with local rules, regulations, and security-related standards across EMEA.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership with the ability to drive change and inspire teams to achieve results.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on influencing and collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
